Nate Mars has expanded his musical horizons with a fresh set of official remixes for his ‘In Time’ EP, accompanied by a brand-new original track titled ‘Parallelogram,’ as reported by Dancing Astronaut.

Following the success of his ‘In Time’ EP released on November 23, Nate Mars introduces a captivating collection featuring three remixes alongside an original piece that vibrates with elements of garage and Drum and Bass. Mars, known for his ingenious use of the TB-303, seamlessly blends this with a variety of analog hardware, looped vocals, and a nuanced dark pop sensibility. With ‘In Time,’ Mars revisited his musical roots, incorporating classic drum breaks and elements reminiscent of rave culture and ’90s piano riffs, drawing inspiration from legendary acts like Moby, The Prodigy, Omni Trio, DJ Krust, and 4am Kru.

The remix package opens with Liondub’s reinterpretation of “In Time,” which infuses the original track with a dynamic drum and bass rhythm, enhancing its core essence. Following suit, Tim Reaper, celebrated for his jungle and breakbeat hardcore expertise, lends his talents to the “Starting Over” remix. As the founder of Future Retro London and recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe, Reaper’s remix is a testament to his skill in navigating drums and breaks.

Philadelphia’s Starkey, also known as PJ Geissinger, provides a unique twist on “To Kill A DJ.” His rendition merges dub/reggae with UKG, effectively marrying Mars’ initial vision with his own distinct, dystopian sound. Starkey has been a notable figure in the music scene since 2005, earning acclaim for his boundary-pushing work, including the release “Open The Pod Bay Doors” on Ninja Tune.

Topping off the collection is Mars’ own contribution, “Parallelogram.” This track showcases his proficiency and quickness in producing exhilarating drum and bass, serving as a fitting culmination to the remix package.

As reported by Dancing Astronaut on March 14, 2024, this release signifies an exciting development in Nate Mars’ career, offering fans both a nostalgic journey and a glimpse into the future of electronic music.
