In a recent update by DJ Mag, the French electronic duo Justice disclosed the entirety of their upcoming album ‘Hyperdrama’ set for release. Alongside the announcement, they shared the latest single, ‘Saturnine (with Miguel),’ which is now available for listeners.

Justice’s new studio effort is slated for release on April 26 via Ed Banger/Because Music, featuring an impressive roster of collaborations. The album includes 13 tracks with contributions from notable artists such as Thundercat, The Flints, Rimon, and Connan Mockasin. Early shares from the album included ‘Incognito’ and a unique collaboration with Tame Impala titled ‘One Night/All Night,’ in addition to another single, ‘Generator.’

Discussing the collaboration, Miguel expressed his enthusiasm, “Being friends with Xavier and Gaspard [Justice] for years, finally working together on a track that turned out great has been an incredible experience. The blending of our sounds seemed natural.”

Justice shared their excitement about the unique sound of the album, saying, “We believe this album sounds like nothing we’ve ever done before.” They elaborated on the creation process, “It began with Gaspard experimenting with an E-mu synthesizer guitar sound, discovering the main riff that led to the rapid development of the rest. Miguel’s voice, especially when raw, captivated us. We aimed for an upfront and unadulterated vocal take, minimal processing, fitting the song’s hallucinatory ‘Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas’ vibe. It’s about embracing discomfort.”

Additionally, Justice announced a comprehensive tour for 2024, kicking off with two performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the US. Their journey will then take them through Mexico and back to Europe for various summer festivals, including Primavera Sound, Best Kept Secret, and Dour, before returning to North America in late July with stops in cities such as New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, and Montreal.
