In an event that promises to be as legendary as it is unexpected, Cypress Hill will be sharing the stage with the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) this summer at the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Scheduled for July 10th, the concert aims to breathe life into a memorable gag from The Simpsons, reported by DJ Mag’s Christian Eede.

Back in 1996, The Simpsons featured a humorous scenario where Cypress Hill, in a state of altered consciousness, accidentally suggested a collaboration with the LSO. Fast forward to today, and what once seemed like a laughable idea is now set to become a reality. The collaboration will see Cypress Hill performing their seminal album ‘Black Sunday’, among other hits, now reimagined with orchestral arrangements. Fans can anticipate a fresh take on classics like ‘Insane In The Brain’ and ‘I Wanna Get High’.

Tickets for this unique performance will be available starting 10am GMT on Wednesday, 27th March. Those interested in being part of this historic event can secure their seats through the official ticket link.

Cypress Hill expressed their excitement about the upcoming concert, stating, “We are thrilled to be performing with the London Symphony Orchestra in such a prestigious venue as the Royal Albert Hall. It’s a dream come true, a collaboration only The Simpsons could have predicted.” This sentiment is echoed by Kathryn McDowell DBE, LSO’s Managing Director, who acknowledges the long-standing tease of such a collaboration on social media. “Many fans may have started to believe it would only be a pipedream – but the LSO is delighted to finally be joining Cypress Hill on stage and in person, and look forward to creating an unforgettable musical moment!” McDowell added, expressing gratitude towards The Simpsons’ creators and the teams at AEG Artistic and PolyArts for making this dream a reality.

Prior to this, Cypress Hill had performed three symphonic shows in the US. However, their upcoming gig at the Royal Albert Hall marks the first occasion they will perform with the LSO, making it a milestone event that pays homage to The Simpsons’ original joke.
